Membership of Kirra SLSC is open to anyone in the community who wishes to support the surf lifesaving movement. There are several membership categories, ranging from Junior Activities (Nippers 5-13 years), Award Members (Patrol duties), to Associate Members (non active). Membership fees are due on the 1st July each year. For season 2010/11, the fees are;
$60.00 per adult
$60.00 per nipper
$180.00 per family (Family of 4, must be living in same household, additional $50 for each additional nipper) Renewals of existing memberships are available at the discounted fee of $50.00 per adult if paid before 30 Sept.
To apply for membership, complete the membership application form and forward it to the club. Membership forms can be downloaded here;

The return of the Australian Championships to Kurrawa in 2010 reminds me that the organization of the Championships requires a twelve month commitment. In 1965 the Championships were discussed by the Kirra Club Committee who decided to ask Tweed Heads & Coolangatta Club and North Kirra Club to join Kirra on an Organising Committee for the 1966 Championships. Both Clubs agreed. |

Arch Nicholson joined Kirra SLSC as a 15 year old junior in March 1948 and obtained his Qualifying (Surf Rescue) Certificate that same year, and following that achieved his Bronze Medallion in 1949. Arch followed this by obtaining his Instructors Certificate in 1953 then his Examiners Certificate 3 years later. |

Earle joined Kirra in 1942 and gained his Bronze Medallion that year. What followed has been dedication to Surf Life Saving which is hard to surpass. |
