Nipper Membership
Each Nipper must complete a membership form. At least 1 parent or gaurdian must become an associate member and complete a membership form. This gives automatic membership to the supporters club. All nipper member parents/gaurdians must also apply for the Queensland government Commission For Children And Young People ‘Working with Children Check Blue Card’. Clubhouse and Dorm Policy
Below is the Clubhouse and Dorm Policy, which must be completed by all members staying at the club: Clubhouse and Dorm Policy All member under the age of 18 are required to have a permission form complete for each stay at the club. Under 18 Kirra SLSC Permission Form These forms need to be returned to the club on your next visit. Please note: if you have no form you will be sent home.
Max Klinger OAM
Max Klinger OAM (17.11.1927 – 29.03.2008) Max Klinger OAM joined Kirra SLSC in 1943 gaining his Bronze on 22 January 1944. Max held numerous positions in the club including Secretary, Deputy President, Treasurer and President. Max’s life saving work also extended into Point Danger Branch. Ken Wiles
Ken Wiles joined Kirra from North Bondi SLSC in 1953 when his parents transferred to Brisbane. He had been talking to Graham Byrnes (Scott’s father) on the finishing line at the Australian Championships at Newport Beach, Sydney and mentioned he was moving to Brisbane.
